Privacy Notice

This is the privacy notice for pavan.blog and the Pavan on Capital newsletter, both operated personally by Pavan Raheja from Dubai, UAE. The goal is to keep this short and direct.

What I collect

• Newsletter subscribers: your email address and (optionally) your first name. Provided by you via the subscribe form.
• Website analytics: usage data such as pages viewed, referrer, country and device, via Vercel Analytics and PostHog. PostHog stores an identifier in your browser (cookie or local storage) to recognise a returning visit, and records session replays of how pages are used, with form inputs masked.
• Digital clone chat: your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate replies. Conversations — your messages and the clone's replies — are stored in PostHog so I can follow up and improve the clone. If you share your name, email, company or what you're looking for, those details are also sent to me directly so I can get back to you. The chat remembers your name and company in your own browser so it can welcome you back; clearing your browser storage removes it.

How I use it

• To send you the newsletter you subscribed to.
• To understand which content resonates so I can write more useful things.
• To respond to people who reach out, including through the chat.
• To improve the digital clone's answers.

What I don't do

• I don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
• I don't run targeted advertising.
• I don't track you across the web.

Service providers

The site and newsletter run on a small set of third-party tools that handle data on my behalf:

• MailerLite — newsletter delivery and subscriber management.
• Vercel — site hosting, analytics, and speed insights.
• PostHog (EU cloud) — product analytics, session replay, and stored chat conversations.
• Anthropic Claude API — powers the digital clone chat widget.
• Telegram — delivers contact details you share in the chat to me.

Each of these has its own privacy practices; they receive only the data needed to do their job.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
• Request deletion of any data I hold on you, including chat conversations, by emailing pavanraheja@gmail.com.
• Don't use the chat widget if you'd rather not have your messages stored or sent to the Claude API.
